One last thought…
I agree that Simon was just probably attempting to get a laugh…however, and maybe it’s just my nature…I do think that no matter what the circumstances are, that people shouldn’t attempt a joke at risk of harm to another person. Ya know?

Anyway, that’s my MOM speech for this morning! So deal with it!! HA!

Moving on…
Sorry that I haven’t been around much lately this weekend. An old friend of mine was married on Saturday evening and so Jason and I gathered up the children and took a road trip up to Longmont (about 50 miles northwest from our house) for the ceremony and festivities.
We did get a bit off track on our way there, mainly because I got confused (not a difficult thing for me to do lately), but we made it there…about 15 minutes late.

I was able to see the bride and groom exchange their vows and rings before the children decided to start making noise. So I thought it best to just meet them over at the reception and save them from having to be interrupted by my rambunctious offspring.

As we were attempting to pull out of the driveway, the ceremony had ended and my friend and his new bride came strolling around the corner and spotted me. I couldn’t very well leave after that…so I stopped and rolled down my window as he came over to say hello. I explained the situation to him and told him that we’d see him at the reception. He is a very calm, laid back sort of person…so this was not a big deal to him by any means. However, I was a bit embarrassed to say the least.

We drove over to their new home for the reception and once they arrived we all gathered inside and on the back porch. It was a small intimate wedding with only 20 guests or so…in which having the reception at their house was a perfect location.
The reception was lovely and it was nice to see some people that I’ve not seen in years. I just wish that we could’ve stayed a while longer, but Jonah (my youngest twin) was not about to allow me to do that. I was not pleased at all with his behavior…and expressed as much after departing the scene.

All in all it was a splendid event and the couple seems to be quite happy…which of course makes me very happy for them.

I will try to get around to visiting all of you VERY soon…but until then…take care!

Awwww what a pity Jonah was misbehaving
I love the new look of your site though!
I like the new look , you always feel bad when your kids misbave .
i like the new look. ahh rambunctious kiddies. I put my parents through hell at my grandmother’s wedding. I was about 2 years old, and I screamed the whole wedding.
Hey, new look… nice! Glad you had a nice weekend, rambunctious kids aside! =)
Isn’t Longmont one of those steep mountains with warnings about driving up? I need to get the maps out again and retrace my trip there. One of those highways we’d pull off from time to time south of the Rocky Nat. park and there’ be driving warnings and such.
Sorry that your stay was cut short. I’m sure that Jonah got his “ears pinned back” for his behavior. Maybe next time……..But I am glad that you were sensitive to his affecting the ceremony. I was at a wedding 2 weeks ago and there were kids who were misbehaving and their parents seemed oblivious to them…….very distracting! It was the parents I wanted to spank.
randall didnt think it would hurt them..adn the only reason she fell was cuz the sausage is top heavy. *pauses* well, that’s something you dont say everyday!! lol. well hun, i hope you have a great week1! =)
