Month: November 2003

  • Thanks to all of you for your kind words, thoughts and prayers…you are very special people!

Mom goes into the surgeon’s office on the 18th for her initial visit and to schedule surgery.

I know that some of you have been wondering what’s going on with Jason…considering he hasn’t posted anything except for right after we were married.  He’s been working quite a few hours as of late and he’s been busy getting registered for school and scheduling his courses.  This has consumed a great deal of his time as of late and he hasn’t had much computer time at all.  Heck, he hasn’t had much time to himself period!  The kids and I take up a great deal of his time and unlike me, he doesn’t have the luxury to access Xanga from work…nor does he have the time.

So, just know that he’s well and he’s VERY busy…but in a good sense.  He’s excited about starting school again in January…and I’m so excited for him!  I know that he wants this and I feel that he NEEDS this more than he knows.  It’s definitely a good thing!

Well…back to work for me!  Take care m’dears!!

  • Surgery??  Another one?

Yup…but this time it’s NOT me!

Found out today that my Mom has to have surgery on her right arm for carpel-tunnel!  She has had pain and numbness in her arm and hand for a while now…the doc said that it’s the worse case that he’s ever seen!  That’s not encouraging at all.

He told her that they will have to schedule surgery as soon as possible…so now we wait to find out when this procedure will occur.

She’ll have to be out of work for 2 weeks following the surgery…so this is going to be difficult considering she watches the kids during the day for us.  Hmm….I’ll have to figure something out.

Anyway, if you could keep her in your thoughts and prayers…we’d appreciate it!

  • Have I mentioned that I have the sweetest husband on the planet? No?

    Well…I DO!

He took me to dinner on Friday and then we went home and snuggled up in front of the television and watched 28 Days Later…

Saturday, we went to breakfast with my Mom and then out to Target to see what deals they had on leftover Halloween candy. Hey…us adults have to get some too ya know.

Well…my Jason bought me the new Bare Naked Ladies CD Everything to Everyone!!   Just because I’ve been wanting it…not that I needed it…but he’s just too darn sweet and got it for me anyway!

After wandering around the store for over 2 hours…we got in the car and drove into Denver.  The malls were so crowded that you’d swear that it was the day after Thanksgiving and not Halloween!!  He took me over to Russell Stover candy store (brave man huh?).  I’ve never been there before and it was neat to see the store and such.

He bought us a couple caramel apples for dessert later and we headed home.  We watched television a bit, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy (that show cracks me up!)…then he made us dinner.

I think I passed out around 9pm…I was so tired for some reason.  I’m not used to being able to go out and do all of those things anymore…this is an adjustment for me.

Anyway…it was a nice weekend and I enjoyed spending time with my hubby!!  He’ll be working a lot of hours that are opposite to my schedule this next week so I won’t get to see him much…so I’m glad that we got some time together before that goes into affect.

So…what did you do for Halloween??
