Not Very How…
I awoke this morning to my left eye hurting profusely. I have allergies…and when they act up my left eye develops sand paper like grain over the pupil…very painful.
So after rising this morning, the pain set in and my eye has been watering and has swelled since. Not much I can do for it unfortunately. I have eye drops that I’m to use daily (and I do) but the drops certainly didn’t prevent this. Occasionally I’ll experience a sharp pain in the eye like a knife stabbing of sorts. I know, not a pleasant thought eh? Not a pleasant feeling either let me assure you.
Anyway, I probably won’t get a chance to visit most of you until this eye stops hurting. Hopefully it won’t keep me from getting work done either. If I can just get through the day without straining it…I may be able to get it to subside rather quickly…if not, it could last for days and I don’t want that.
If that wasn’t enough for one morning, I received a call from Jason just before 8am telling me that my oldest (Dora) hurt herself at school. Meanwhile I’m thinking, “but she just got there”. Apparently she opened the door to go into the school and didn’t move her foot out of the way and considering she was wearing open toed sandals, it took off some of her toe and most of her nail!!!
OUCH!! 
Luckily my mom was able to pick her up and take her to the doctor’s office. Dora just called me and she’s a very lucky girl because she didn’t need stitches, but is going to have to stay home today with her foot elevated and will have to soak it in soapy water several times today. Way to go GRACE!!
I informed her that this was not the way to get out of gym class!!
So yeah, have a good day everyone and I’ll be around to visit when I can.

Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Poor Dora! I know how much that hurts! I did the same thing not too long ago with my bathroom door. Hope she feels better soon. And your eye…hope it’s better soon too.

I have that problem sometimes! My eyes are so dry that if I ever rub them before I get the drops into them I can plan on a day of my eye hurting and watering. I have found that if I put a gauze pad over the eye and tape it shut, it helps it heal faster. But it is a bummer to deal with the loss of depth perception……. Hope that her toe heals fast!
