Month: November 2004

  • Let me just say that I’m not surprised by the way that the elections have turned out…however, that doesn’t mean that I’m not disappointed in the results.

I’m not a Republican…nor am I a Democrat.  I make my own decisions…I am an American.  I bow to neither party and to be honest, I’m sick of the political bullshit that we’ve all been forced to hear, see, touch, and feel (and sometimes smell) over the past few months.

I have my opinions…I have my thoughts, their not yours…they’re mine.  I don’t expect others to agree with all of my opinions or thoughts on what’s occured in this country over the past few years.  I love my country…but I don’t love what’s happened to my country.  I don’t love the decisions that have been made for me by certain individuals in my country.  I don’t love the fact that my children are inheriting a country that is frowned upon by other countries.  I don’t love the fact that our educational system is failing my children.  I don’t love the fact that the people that are in power here lie to me…about everything.  I don’t love the fact that I’m now left with these feelings toward a country that I’ve always loved and have been proud to be a part of for so long.

Ya know…about the only thing that comes to mind right now is….something has got to give.

  • Well…that’s that. I did my duty and voted this morning.  I arrived at the polling place at 7am after dropping Dora off at school.  I was only there 20 minutes…which was great!!  I got to work on time and everything!  Of course…we have electronic voting here in Colorado which makes it easier and faster to cast your vote.

I hope that everyone takes the time to vote today.  These elections are going to be close…so your vote matters!

  • The weekend was fun…and I got to spend time with my Munchkin and her new boyfriend.

It snowed here last night and has continued throughout this morning.  The roads are a mess and once again people in Colorado have proven how stupid they are by not using common sense on the roadways during bad weather.  I had 3…count them1, 2, 3 SUVs spin across four lanes of traffic in front of me on my way to work this morning.  I swear these damn people think that if they drive a vehicle with 4 wheel drive that it makes them invincible.

NEWSFLASH people!!  Those vehicles have no advantage when it comes to ice…it has no mercy.  Dumb people.

Anyway, I made it here none the less.  We watched the Falcons beat up the Denver Broncos yesterday…that was fun…and Redskins lost to Green Bay.  Some are saying that this is a good omen for Kerry.  I guess we’ll see tomorrow eh?

Have you heard about the video tape of Bin Laden? Well…I have and I think that it proves a few things.  1) He’s obviously still alive   2) He’s still making threats…and  3) He’s living way too comfortably

    Ya know what I mean?

Well…that’s it for me today.  I’ve got a ton of work to get done.  Have a good Monday!
