I must say that I’m sick of being sick.  I’ve been ill since the beginning of December with a stupid virus that just won’t go away.  I feel like I start to get better only to get worse again. Sucks eh?  Yeah…I think so too.  I woke up this morning only to learn that I’m now losing my voice for the second time in the past two months.  I wish it were something that I could just go to the doctor and get an RX for…but unfortunately they don’t give those out for viral infections and I don’t have an extra $25 to hand over for them to tell me this.  So here I am, trying to rest as much as possible while still taking care of the kids, household and searching for a new job. 

I had an interview today for an administration position at a company that plans high school reunions.  It sounds like an interesting position and the best part is that it’s only 2 miles from my house!  That would be very cool and I’d even be willing to take a bit less pay to work SO close to home.  I’d make less if I worked farther away for more money in the gas that I’d be using to get back and forth.  So yeah…I wouldn’t mind a small pay cut to work closer to home.  We’ll see how this one goes.  I should know something by the end of next week they said, but then again, they also stated that I’m “way overqualified” for the position.  Yup…story of my life over the past couple of years it seems.  So yeah…we’ll see.

Ok…so Happy belated New Year and Valentine’s Day to you all.

I know…I’m a bit behind, but I haven’t really wanted to post much over the past couple of months.  The job that I posted about didn’t work out at all.   In fact, it lasted a whole 4 days.  Yeah…apparently they didn’t want a human…they wanted a robot w/ no personality or sense of humor…so I was definitely NOT the person they wanted at all.  So…3 days before Christmas I was handed a pink slip and sent home.  Merry Christmas right?

Right…well, it was OK I made it through the holidays and made the best of it all.  I figure that if they were going to be that way w/ me that I didn’t want to work for them anyway…so it was best that we parted company.  In the meantime, I haven’t had much going on in the way of employment.  Most companies that I interview w/ are afraid that I will become bored too easily b/c most positions that I’m applying for I’m extremely overqualified for.  Hey…I can’t help that…I’m just trying to find something stable and full-time w/ benefits that will bring enough income for us to survive off of.  Ya know?

Anyway, I hope that you’re all doing well and once again I apologize for my absense between posts…it appears that this is becoming a habit eh? Yeah…
