First of all…I want to say THANK YOU SOOOOOOOO MUCH to all of you who went and visited and commented on Mark’s site…that was VERY sweet of you.
I’ve known for a while now that I have some pretty incredible readers…but you all have just proved how incredible you really are…thank you.
I’ve heard a lot of people talking about terrorism today…in light of it being 3/3/03. A great number of people from many different religious backgrounds have been speculating onto whether or not something will occur today. To be honest, I don’t know if today being 3/3/03 has any real significance or not…but I do pray and hope everyday that nothing more occurs here in our homeland.
Since 9/11, people have lost the one thing that we all thought we had living here in America…security. That is now gone. People, the majority of them from what I can see, now live in fear of more attacks and of what today or tomorrow may bring. Especially now when we are at the brink of war…the whole situation is terrifying.
I’ve heard it said many times, by many different people, in many differences ways, “no one WANTS war”. Of course no one wants war. We’ve all read about and/or have lived with war at some point in time in our lives. Many of us have even lost loved ones due to war. Having to go into battle isn’t something that I think any right minded human really wants to do. I do look at it this way though, if we do go to war and we have our sisters and brothers, sons and daughters, mothers and fathers, and friends out there fighting once again for OUR freedom and for OUR lives…then I will support them and stand behind the decision that has been made. I think that the saying that Americans hold so dear, “United We Stand”…is just that, standing behind the decisions that have been made for our country…whether we like them or not.
I’m not saying that we shouldn’t stand up for what we believe in or protest that which we don’t…what I’m saying is that once the final decision has been made, that we…the American people…should fully support the decision made for America and the people that it will directly affect. Bring truth to the phrase “United We Stand” and do just that. Stand proud…and support our people, that’s what being united is all about…that’s what being an American is about.
Okay…I’m getting off of my patriotic
now…before I start to get emails from people asking me who I am and what I’ve done with the normal person who usually posts here…haha.

Have a wonderful Monday!!
~Maria
