Thought I’d share…

The above sketch is of my dog Rusty…I’ve posted photos of him before, but Jason had asked me to sketch him…so I did.

My Mom had her surgery yesterday and is resting now. The procedure went well according to the doctor.
She will not be able to use her right arm for several weeks…not at all for the next 2 weeks. However, she has already attempted to write with it twice now.
She’s not a good patient. I told her that if she didn’t obey the doctors orders…I’d call him and tell him.
I’ve been busy the past few days going through my daughters’ room and cleaning out everything (I know…it’s winter, not spring). But you should see their room! It’s a pit! So, I decided that it needed a complete overhaul!
They aren’t very pleased with my methods of cleaning…neither is my Mom. See, I’m one of those people that feels that if something is not being used, played with regularly or worn on a regular basis that it should be either trashed, or given to someone who could use it. My Mom feels that we should hold on to EVERYTHING and box it up for later use (which never comes). She’s a bit compulsive
…in other words…a massive and classic “pack rat”. Jason says, “she has a problem”…yup, that’s very true.
I told her that I was going to go through all of the “crap” in the garage after I get done with the girls’ room…she almost came unglued! Our garage is stuffed with clothes and boxes of “stuff” that belong to either my kids (that my Mom packed away for “later use”) or my Mom….that will never be used again or forgotten about.
I would love to have a garage that is used for its original purpose…parking a car in!? What a frickin’ concept eh?

Okay…done ranting now. Jason is standing over my shoulder correcting my typing and grammer

LoL. Great sketch of your dog. I tend to throw things away that could go to good use with me. But we do give them to Goodwill at least
….Thanks! for the wonderful comments you have left me on my xanga… and thats a great sketch…. i have a Golden Retriever he’ll be 1 on jan. 14th… he’s a spoiled brat..
Happy New Year!
A great drawing . Hope your Mum heals quickly
Haha, I so have the same problem… I have boxes and boxes of stuff that I haven’t opened in years and you would figure that if I’ve gone so long without even looking at them, maybe I should just chuck it all, right? But when I open them to do just that, I can’t do it! How pathetic… some life skill I need to learn! =) Sounds like everything’s busy over there, good luck with it all! Glad your mom’s doing okay, best of luck with her recovery! That sketch of your dog is wonderful! You’re a really great artist…
Did you poke him in the side
LOL That is a great sketch!!! I can only draw flowers – and cartoon birds
I hope you are having a great week!
great sketch!
Great sketch of your dog…you are talented! I’m happy to hear that your Mom’s surgery went well…I hope you can get her to follow the Dr’s orders about not using her arm though…good luck!
You clean the same way I do. I get to a point where I just want to get the unused stuff OUT! Good luck with that too!

lol, my mom is exactly the same….the house is filled with useless stuff all waiting to “come in handy”
I tend to be like your mother. We live in a tiny cottage with no storage. One of these days I will just have to bite the bullet and start decluttering my world
Best wishes to your mother and here recovery
katy has the same problem. she got upset with me for throwing out old underwear of hers. lord. what is wrong with that girl. cutie sketch. and i find it very very hard to beleive that jason would be correcting anything.
listen to tanya honey… I’m not like that, see?
you know how I feel about the house… get her out for a week and bring on the rollaway dumpster! Love you

btw, Tanya misspelled “believe”
I used to be a “pack rat”
Not anymore……now it is “pack rat” grandchildren stuff!
Hope your day is going good.
and {{{hugs}}}
Hello, While trotting around Xangaland I came across your site. Nice sketch of the pup! Don’t let that talent be squandered.
And about all the stuff.. “The things you own end up owning you…

aww.. the puppy is so cute!!! I tend to clean how you do, but it takes me a while to get to that stage, and it’s only pure frustration.. I find it’s usually my old notes that I’m throwing away anyway, that I won’t need any more!! Have to check out what stuff I have left at my mums still.
peace and love

Jason…korrecting? (snort) No?! Obvioulsy Korrector has not been to your house. Or has hee?
I tend to be a pack rat, though at work they were thrilled I cleaned out the greenhouse…can’t really say office areas since we don’t really have any, but the alleys that have doubled as such. It’s only mid 20′s now outside. Certainly makes a difference in here from when it was 3 outside. Supposed to have a little snow. They’re predicting it to be as cold and snowy as last winter, but hasn’t snowed much yet. Maybe I should put clothes on, but the coffee is still hot.
I HATE when my hubby stands over me and corrects me…it ERKS me! hehe
Love the drawing…thats damn good!
haha, I’m such a packrat. and proud of it, at least when I’m not trying to clean. haha.
what I really meant to say is, love your sketch!
