  • A bit of adventure…

So I get into work this morning and as I’m stepping out of my car…my boss walks up to me and says, “So…are you ready to go out to the jobsite?”.   I think this was my expression:

    Yup…pretty much.

I said, “What are you talking about?  You didn’t mention anything about me going out to the jobsite today.  You said to remind YOU that YOU needed to be out there by 10…but nothing about me.”  Then I pointed out that I wasn’t exactly adorned with the proper foot ware and wasn’t about to ruin my good shoes to go on this little adventure.  I am a woman after all and shoes are important to us.

So…I called my Mom and asked if she was up to driving and would be able to bring me my work boots…or if I needed to pick them up on the way out to the jobsite.  Anyway…I got the boots and we went out to the substation located in Morrison, CO.

A friend of mine, Bart, is the Project Manager in charge of this job.  He was quite happy to see me there considering I’m not one to make normal appearances on the jobsites.  So I was welcomed with a hug and a smile.  He took me on a tour of the site and did some explaining as to what was what and how they did things…it was quite intriguing to be honest.  We completed the jobsite safety review and then I was on my way back to the office.

Well…that was my adventure for the morning…and now I’m back in my cushy office writing to you fine folks.

    Happy Hump Day!!
