  • No Voice To Speak Of

I woke up yesterday morning without a voice…and guess what?  I still have NO voice!! Oh yeah…my co-workers are loving this!!

Hmm…shouldn’t be too unfamiliar to them, they mostly ignore me anyway.

Anyway, my throat doesn’t hurt…just a froggy little voice comes out…instead of my normal sexy voice that is.

Jason is finally feeling a bit better…he’s at least out of bed (YAY).   However, he’s still not up to par yet.  Hopefully by this weekend he will be.

Well…my boss is now out of town and the president of the company is officially on vacation until the 1st of July…so it looks like the issue of my raise won’t be addressed anytime soon…not that I expected it to.

Yesterday however, I just about lost it.  The company had ordered shirts for everyone and last week at the meetings we sorted them out for all of the field employees (well…three of us volunteered to do it considering the lady who was supposed to wasn’t and said she didn’t have time) and left the ones for the office employees for the president to hand out.   Blue for the men and green for the women.  I (of course) had to make comment since blue is my favorite color that I’d prefer that…full well knowing that I wasn’t going to get it…but was just joking around saying “well I don’t know…green isn’t really my color ya know”.  Well, apparently the lady that didn’t have time to sort the shirts couldn’t take a joke and she told the president that I’d complained and that I didn’t want a shirt because I didn’t think it was my color etc.  So he didn’t give me one.  I went in his office late yesterday afternoon and asked why I hadn’t gotten my shirts yet…and he said, “well I was told that you didn’t think it was your color and therefore didn’t want one”.  OUCH!!   So I explained how the “real” conversation took place and what was “really” said.  Then he told me “maybe next time you might want to make sure that what you’ve said isn’t being received incorrectly”…and my reply was “so in other words, keep my mouth shut eh?”.  He then told me that he didn’t know if there were any left in my size…so I said, “well…if not that’s fine…I can live without the shirt especially after what’s transpired concerning it”.  He said that he would take care of it and about a half an hour later he dropped the shirts on my desk.

I was livid though!   Not about the shirts mind you but the fact that someone had the audacity to lie about me…that pissed me off!

Anyway…so now the office is pretty much empty and I’m sitting here typing to you all complaining about well…everything at the moment I guess huh?   Sorry.

    Hmm…

  • I always use my blog to vent, so don’t feel bad.

  • Office politics

  • I am reminded of Rebecca De Mornay in The Hand That Rocks the Cradle every time I read/hear a story like this one… some people are just real good at twisting the words others actually said.

Karma’s sure to get the bitch.

  • rofl. you had the kind of day i had. funny isn’t it.

  • It’s too bad that the lady who complained to the president didn’t lose her voice, instead of you. You don’t have to apologize for venting…that would piss me off too!

  • People suck.  Hope everyone feels better soon.
