  • Cute? Yes…but safe?

A piglet sleeps on a tiger at Siracha zoo, 80 km east of the Thai capital Bangkok, July 2, 2004. The zoo is trying to boost visitor numbers by teaching domestic animals such as pigs, and wild animals such as tigers, to live together in harmony from an early age. REUTERS/Sukree Sukplang

That picture reminds me of when I was a kid growing up on the farm.  We had a rooster that liked to sleep with our malamute.  It seemed to work out just fine until one day when the rooster decided to get nasty with my Dad, the malamute being my Dad’s dog, took exception to this and well…let’s just say that the next morning…there wasn’t a rooster lying beside the dog…but a bunch of feathers were on the ground.

See what I mean? Cute…yup, but safe? Umm…probably not considering that tiger could very well think of that piggy as lunch one day.

So…a few changes going on in the Presidential Campaign as of late.  Kerry has chosen Edwards as running mate….probably the best thing he’s done yet.  What do you think?  I was a bit surprised to find out he did that, but pleasantly so.  Definitely a wise choice on his part.

I also heard rumors that Bush may not want Cheney to come back on as VP…that he might call upon McCaine for the job.  Anyone else heard that?  I found that to be if anything…interesting.

I’ve been having difficulty getting to sleep lately…and actually getting rest when I do sleep.  Not sure as to why…but I’m getting sick of it.   Maybe it’s just stress.

Anyway, I hope you are having a good week!!

  • Edwards as VP would suit me better than McCain as VP   Kerry did spend the last month trying to get McCain on board himself!

    Your headline’s spot on.. yipes!

  • I like Edwards and hope that works out well. Sad and funny, when all they Rep’s can find to make fun of is his age (looks young) and something on his chin. Makes me think he is right on!

  • Being a Republican, the two johns can try as hard as they might……to no avail. If Bush WERE to change his VP it wouldn’t likely be to McClain since the Democrats did try to court him. Bush would likely choose Condi Rice, a brilliant woman.

  • She is a brilliant woman– what success Bush has had can be attributed to his surrounding himself with intelligent advisors, since he sure isn’t…

Thank you, my love, for being the one and only to comment on my 4th post, and no I was not including you in remarking on the “ugliness” in the comments of yesterday’s… we all know who was being ugly. Love you!

  • I’d like to see Condi as Veep too, but I don’t know what he’s going to do…lol about the poor rooster :) , and I was thinking the same thing about my stuffed animals, they can get put away when need be.

  • I’m not sleeping lately either..I hope you are able to get proper rest soon!

  • Thanks for the prayers…we certainly have been having things happen around here of late

  • Mmm.  Bacon.

  • Chosing a new VP, esp that one, would be a boost.

    I might be worried he’d get re-elected.

  • Kerry/Edwards in 04!!!

jeez, anyone but the guys there right now.

  • That is cute lol

I like Edwards but not Kerry, Kerry bothers me, I did not hear anything about bush changing his vp interesting

  • the picture is too cute… but yeah I agree, not safe… unless… the tiger becomes a vegaterian…  then it would be perfect

  • I like Wil’s post. wiggly bacon is the BEST!

  • I can SO relate to the no sleeping thing.. if anything now I sleep too much…. because of not being able to sleep when normal people sleep.. so I just have to get it when I can…..

I hope you can find a way to get your rest…

    thanks for visiting!!!
