Shouldn’t they have boxing gloves on?

Okay…probably not considering it certainly sounded as if the gloves were definitely off last night during the first debate.

Now I’m not affiliated with either party…but I kept thinking to myself while watching the debate that the President needed to say something different when responding to Sen. Kerry’s statements.  About what you ask?  Everything.

It seemed to me that almost every time Sen. Kerry made a statement regarding something that the President didn’t particularly want to go into…he just repeated himself from he’d said to the previous statement.  I know that he’s trying to be consistent and all…but does he have to be redundant as well?

A part of me felt bad for him because he was at times obviously a bit flustered and looked as if he was having a hard time finding the words to make his point.  Maybe that’s why he repeated himself?  I don’t know.

There were valid points made by both parties…but according to the polls Sen. Kerry was the winner of the first debate.

CNN / GALLUP POLL ON WHO WON DEBATE

    Kerry: 53
    Bush: 37

CBS POLL ON WHO WON DEBATE:

    Kerry: 44
    Bush: 26
    Tie: 30

ABC POLL ON WHO WON DEBATE:

    Kerry: 45
    Bush: 36
    Tie: 17

However, I did hear on the news this morning that when the “people” were polled on who won the debate it was dead even:

    Kerry: 39%

    Bush: 39%

    Undecided: 22%

It’s also been said that not many people normally watch the second or third debates…but I feel that maybe this election year will be an exception considering how close it all is.  I think that maybe we may actually have a real presidential race this year…wow, what a concept eh?

So, did you watch the debate last night?

Are you going to watch the next one?

  • I wasn’t sure who I was going to vote for..after last night..I’m pretty sure..but I’m going to watch the next debate to be certain!

  • I will try. I really am interested on seeing what they have to say.

  • I thought Kerry sounded more postive and made Bush uncomfortable

  • My honest opinion???? It really did not make up my mind one way or other. None of the questions I wanted to hear were answered.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

    & {{{hugs}}}

  • I didn’t watch the debate because I already know who I’m supporting ;P

  • At this point I have no clue what to do.  I would rather revote for Bush than vote for Kerry.  He has been found in tooo many lies.  Not to say that Bush never lies but Kerry is lying to get the position and that I do not go for.  Can not stand liars.  Hell they all lie.  What do we do?  I did not watch the debate, I didn’t have the stomach for it.  Actually. . . I slept right thru it.  Wonderful meds I am on. lol  Well I have up dated and now I am trying to visit those of you that have visited or have been visiting me, despite my constant absences.  Thank you for hanging around and thank you for using my animations, it does a heart good.  Have  a great day and a wonderful tomorrow ! ! !   Much love and many hugs! ! !  Sleep with the angels and wake up fully rested and ready for a new day ! ! !
