  • ~*FINALLY*~

The Red Sox are finally back in the World Series for the first time since 1986!! Has the curse been lifted??

So far it looks as if it has…at least to the thousands of Yankees fans that filled Yankee Stadium last night… and for the Boston fans that are celebrating a historical victory.

I watched last night, with Pedro Martinez on the mound, as the crowd chanted “Who’s Your Daddy” relentlessly taunting him over and over again.  In a way, I suppose it worked because his time on the mound was short lived in this game and Alan Embree replaced him for the closing, completing the Red Sox’ journey to the World Series…and ending a curse streak of that arrival that spans almost 20 years.

Now…the question is, will the “curse of the Bambino” remain for them in the World Series? Or will this be the year that they finally break the curse and win a championship that hasn’t been theirs since 1918?

We’ll find out starting Saturday…but for now, tonight’s game will decide who will be their opponent in this year’s World Series. Will it be the Astros…or the Cardinals?

    What do you think?

  • Go Red Sox!!!

I’m a big Cardinals fan, but I would like to see the Astros play in the world series. For me it’s a win-win situation because I love the Red Sox, the Cards and the Astros. (Secretly hoping though it’s the Astros!)

  •  I remember how sad everyone in Boston were last year when we were there after the Sox losing now the Sox have had revenge

  • Ok I saw the last 2 innings of the game last night only b/c T wanted to see who was going to win.  I thought it was Awesome that the Red Sox beat the Yankees.  The thing that got on my nerves was the crowd repeating “Who’s Your Daddy?”  Its like shut the %@# up already!!!!!  LOL =P  **Hugs**

  • Fingers crossed for them!! I don’t follow baseball from this side of the world, but I’m sure it’s good.

    Peace and love

  • I’m very happy for Boston! Aaand, if the Red Sox curse can be broken, maybe there’s hope for The Cubs next year????

  • Well harrumph! I’m actually a Mets fan (don’t start with me – I can’t help it… they have heart lol), but being from NY, yet not living in NY anymore – I’ll take the Yankees too. Of course, if they were playing the Mets I’d be cheering for the Mets. Sooooooooooo, I can’t share in your excitement, I was pretty let down by the last game. My roommate so to speak lol – well he’s a red sox fan, so we were battling over who was cheering who lol. Now, you’re much too sweet for me to ever debate teams over – so I’ll just say I’m happy for you and leave it at that otay? .
