The Misadventures of Toby
I think that I’m going to rename Toby…
…change his name to “Toby the Explorer”!!
The past few days he’s gotten it into his head that he would like to venture outside…despite my protests. The kids haven’t exactly made it difficult for him to do so either…(they’ve let him out about 3 times now…naughty children).
I keep telling him that the outside world just isn’t THAT interesting…but then again, I’m trying to explain this to a feline who thinks the garage is a wonderous place to explore. Why do I bother eh?

We did have a wonderful time on NYE…but I must admit that I’m looking forward to what this year has in store for us.
Upcoming Event
Next week I’m taking Jason to his first NHL game!! I’m excited!! Mainly because I haven’t been to a hockey game yet this season…AND it’s the Red Wings vs Avalanche game (my two favorite teams…I know, they’re rivals…but hey, I have loyalties ya know…haha) which is ALWAYS an entertaining (if anything) type of game…AND we have incredible seats (14th row…hehe)…AND just the fact that I get to take the one I love to his first live NHL game is thrilling in itself!!
I don’t discuss hockey much here at all…so y’all are just going to have to endulge me for a moment okay?
I even talked my ex-husband into taking the kids for us the night of the game. Yay for me!
It should be a fun night…I’ll report back after the game to let y’all know how it went.
This & That
Not too much going on with us right now…other than Jason is having to work a LOT of hours this week and only gets one day off after working 6 in a row.
So he has a very good reason as to why he hasn’t posted yet…sorry y’all…but you’ll just have to wait a little bit longer for his post on “THE Christmas gift” that I bought him. 
I know that he wishes he had more time to post and visit…but he’s been tired and to be honest…I’ve been pretty exhausted recently as well. However, I think that we may get some reprieve now that the kids started back at school!! YAY for THAT!
Hopefully things will get back to semi-normal soon. Well…as normal as they can be when you have four children running your life!!

As a Detroit fan, I must insist that they win. I have not seen many other Red Wing fans out here. I was shocked when I found out how much Colorado fans hate my beloved Red Wings.

Oh…….I love Hockey. I go to every game I can! I can sit and watch it all day!
Roanoke has an ECHL team and they are pretty good. I get right on the ice level. 
Can’t wait to hear how the game went. Have a blast! 
My female kitty is quite the explorer as well
I had a kitten once who insisted on going outside the day after New Year’s..it was damn cold and snowy but she wouldn’t let up..so I let her out just to rid her of the curiosity and I went to get her a couple of minutes later and she was GONE!! Nowhere to be seen!!
I’m assuming someone thought a careless owner left her out and took her home..at least I HOPE someone took her home!
poor busy jason… it’s so sweet of you to introduce him to that relaxing stress-free game (lol!)… please let me know when he posts (I’ve stopped checking) so I can welcome him back (he’s one of my faves… but you knew that!).

I’ve never been to a major league hockey game either. Sounds like fun! We have a minor league team here and I’ve gone to see them several times. Who knew hockey could be so fun!
Are you planning to get Tobey neutered (sorry guys! hehe)? Because my male cat (Simon) would go crazy every time the front door opened until I got him fixed. My vet promised me it would make a big difference and he was soooo right!
We have a pro hockey team in Nashville….the Predators. But their fan base has decreased so much they are in trouble.

misbev…the Predators attendance is down eh? hmm…well, I don’t think that hockey is as popular in the southern states as it is up north…but from what I’ve heard…hockey attendance is down across the board…so it’s not just them I don’t think.

I love watching hockey games, not on the tube though, has to be an actual game..but my hubby only likes baseball, so it’s been years since i’ve seen one..lucky you! have fun!!!!

Cats can’t resist an open door, can they? Ours jumps into the dryer too.
I think everybody I know is busy and run down at the moment. I’ll be glad to get this plant test over with, whatever the outcome on it. But my real busy period will be starting in a couple of weeks since that’s probably when the probable new postion with so many hours kicks in.
